Am sure those who are watching the World Cup 2010 have seen this ad on TV (applicable to Malaysia only).
Its Deborah Henry singing in red PVC raincoat thingy dancing to MyEG song mash. (Am sure the client and ad agency are very much influenced by American Idol & Glee!)
check out MyEG on Facebook
Lyrics:
Something so easy
when you use MyEG
everything is online
you can do your roadtax
and your car insurance online
MyEG is always there for you
*echoes* MyEG for me….for you..*fades*
Many have been complaining how bad the TVC is but the funny thing is, people ARE ACTUALLY complaining means we took notice!
Theres a heated discussion over at Buzzmedia :When to stick with or drop an unpopular ad campaign.
So, whats the deal? is it a successful ad? or a failure? QWERTY say, no matter how dodgy or bad the ad is, it may have “accidentally” became popular, and rather successful
What about you?

The Client or the creative agency (or both) have a red PVC/latex fetish. I’m a fan of Maya Karin & Deborah Henry (they’re hot!), but seriously, the ads are incredibly corny and bad.
And the song….argh….
not bad, you actually remember the lyrics
