got a little obsessed with 550 paracords (parachute cords) lately after stumbling upon Everyday Carry site. I’ve made keychain, bracelet, and something i’m very happy with today : Furkid Collar
unfortunately the only paracord colours i’ve got is dark olive & bright orange to play with. would defiitely explore 2 tone bracelet / collar next.
anyone interested ordering these 12″ size collars (inclusive of plastic buckle + 2 rings) for your furkid, they are USD10 each (not inclusive of shipping). Note : only colour available is dark olive & bright orange.
few weeks ago (beginning of December 2010), a depression, emotional downturn invaded over me. It was definitely because of some obvious reasons. its coming to a year end, xmas plans not sorted, work, PMS, getting fat and many other little little matters running thru my head.
as most of you know by now, i run my own business, and its not an easy thing to do. i’m a one woman show running around like a mad woman meeting clients, sorting out paperwork, put on the thinking cap and work out designs and visuals and having to deal to production and delivery. on good times, im proud of myself, and on bad times i always think if its better for me to go back to the workforce for stability.
i have been doing the above for approx 5 to 6 years now, i would say i’ve accomplished quite a fair bit, but still not getting to where i wanted it to go. after this many years, i should have more staffs and let things run on it own, but instead i’m still doing quite a fair bit of shitty stuff.
yes, i’m feeling jaded. i hated that feeling. really hated it. so, im telling myself,…CHANGE PLANS! im getting into this comfort zone and i need to get out and do something that challenges me.
although i dont really stick to resolutions, just for the sake of it, heres my 2011 resolution : KEEP FIT / HEALTHY & TRAVEL. thats my goal. thats my motto. and i have started it already. just this month, i recently took up KICKBOXING. AND I LOVE IT! its something i’ve always wanted to do but never got around to it. all that stressed up & negative energy channeled to punches and kicks and at the end of the day, you sweat out and feel them muscle aching. in fact after 3 weeks, i could see slight “definition” on the abs. thats something
next, i’ve got 4 travel destinations up my sleeves already. flying into HK in january and paris / amsterdam / london in June. i just need to fit in more travel plans and i’m fulfilled for the year 2011
how about work? how about income? well..screw that. just kidding!!! work still MUST go on , no matter what, but im putting personal priorities ahead of me this time around instead of sacrificing so much for work. Hopefully I’ll work more online based, cutting overheads low low low and who knows, contract jobs out of malaysia? I’m still looking, so if you have any word out there, i’m looking. (you can check me out at about.me/qwertyjuan)
Another step of faith i’ll be taking too, will be shifting my current office space to my underutilized apartment. It makes more sense to shift there since i’m hardly at the office and i could channel the rental to my home loan. this decision was really a debate between the brain and the heart. Logically it makes so much sense to move, while the heart knows it will miss them boys at the office. Nonetheless, i’ll still visit and bug them

finally! i’m a huge fan of Uniqlo ever since I first stepped into their stores at Hong Kong about 4 to 5 years back. Superbly happy that they are finally coming into Malaysian shores which means I dont have to go all the way nearest to Singapore to stock up my yearly supply
They officially open doors on November 4th 2010 at Farenheit88 (Kuala Lumpur). Farenheit88 used to be KL Plaza back in the days, but now totally refurbished and looking brand new and hip!
Uniqlo Malaysia was giving out free tote bags to the first 1000 customers and there were many more other promotions and price cutting going on in-store. Surprisingly, there were ALOT ALOT ALOT of Uniqlo fans out there and from what i heard, there were as many as 4000 people that visited this 3-storey store.
I got to the venue approx. 10.35am and already there was a massive queue. Saw the amount of people and i decided NOT to be stupid and queue for 2 hours. (heard stories that ppl Q up 2 to 3 hours to get in, 1 hour to shop, 1 hour to Q again to try, and 1 hour to Q to pay up). Thats nuts. I think its history in the making for a brand in Malaysia.
Anyways, enough talking, managed to capture some photos before i left the place. Again, to Uniqlo, thanks for coming in

One of our clients Teo Heng a distributor for BMB Karaoke systems has recently set up an all new family concept Karaoke at Sunway Giza. In Malaysia, most Karaoke places i know are expensive, allows smoking and drinking in the room. Teo Heng has decided to take an alternative direction and believing that there are customers out there who just want to have pure singing pleasure in a nice clean “not-dodgy” environment.
We at Level5 Creative assisted them with below the line collateral and wayfinding. Initially we wanted them to change the KTV name, but the bosses at Teo Heng insisted on using their name as they believe it has been a trusted name in the Karaoke industry. We respected their decision and moved on with work! After months of hardwork….
Last week, they celebrated the grand opening and I proudly present to you an all NON-SMOKING, NON-DRINKING, CHEAP & AFFORDABLE KARAOKE STUDIO to you
RATES based on per hour per room:
SMALL ROOM (up to 4pax) : RM22 per hour / peak hours
MEDIUM ROOM (up to 8pax) : RM28 per hour / peak hours
LARGE ROOM (up to 12pax) : RM40 per hour / peak hours
PARTY ROOM (up to 18pax) : RM60 per hour / peak hoursThey have 3-hour packages on Monday to Thursday.
As an end user myself who dont smoke, i recently visited a Karaoke joint nearby with some friends, and trust me, I MISS TEO HENG! not because they are new, but because truly, there was no cigarette scent! the air was “fresher” and i felt comfortable. You feel like you have checked into a low-budget “tune hotel”. Strongly suggest that you head over to Sunway Giza to check it out.
Enough with all the talk, hopefully these pictures impress you, and give them a try!

Oh yah, did i also mention that…
