How to participate?

• First, choose which category you would like to participate in : Open Category or Pro Climbers Category.
  • Open Category : Top-Rope Competition. Open to everyone including non-climbers (Malaysians aged 21 years and above only).
  • Pro Climbers Category : Lead Climbing Competition. Minimum climbing grade 6c (Malaysians aged 21 years and above only).
    * In the Open Category, climbers MUST pick a teammate to form a team of two (2). In the Pro Climbers Category, climbers are required to compete as an individual.
• Next, sign up and fill in your particulars, along with your teammate’s if you are competing in the Open Category.
• Open Category submission :
  Submit ONE (1) wall climbing photo of yourself along with a caption. Tell us which Honda City quality do you embody in your chosen photo.

  Pro Climbers Category submission :
  Submit FOUR (4) wall climbing photos that best embody all four qualities of the Honda City. Then tell us why you are the embodiment of Honda City’s qualities – Style, Performance, Practicality and Best-in-Class.

• Get your friends and family to vote for your photo in order to qualify for the finale.
• Top 25 most voted teams (Open Category) and top 20 most voted individuals (Pro Climbers Category) will proceed to the finale.
• Finale:
  • The finale will take place at Camp5 Climbing Gym, 1Utama Shopping Centre, Bandar Utama.
  • Open Category (Top-Rope Competition):
    The top 25 teams will participate in a 2-hour endurance race to the top. The team that covers the most distance will be declared the winner. Finalist with no climbing experience will have to complete the complimentary Camp5 Basic Wall Course prior to the final climbing competition.
  • Pro Climbers Category (Lead Climbing Competition) :
    Top 20 individuals will participate in 2 rounds. There shall be one qualification route and one final route. Qualification routes & finales are on-sight.
    • Qualifier : During the qualifier the competitors are divided into 4 groups. Each competitor must climb only one particular route on the Sentinel Wall (with a total of 4 routes for the 4 groups).
    • Finals : Climbers will take turns to climb the ‘El Cap’ wall, the wall featured in ‘Best-In-Class’. After each round of the competition, the competitors shall be ranked. The competitor ranked first in the final round will be awarded the title of Honda City Pro Climber champion.
