Panasonic GF1 + Leica Summicron 35mm lens

I have a new obsession. I recently sold off my DSLR and changing the system to Micro 4/3. In the next few upcoming post, I’ll be posting up set-ups of the GF1 camera along with some classic / old / retro or 3rd party lenses. So heres the first one. Hope you like it :)

The setup : Panasonic GF1 camera + L(M) to M4/3 adapter + Leica Summicron 35mm lens

This lens is small and compact at the same time solid and heavy. I must say the Germans did a very good job here. the focus is easily manageable with your index finger, smooth and slides easily. However, one unfortunate fact is that when you mount these classic lens onto the micro 4/3 camera, the focal length doubles up, making it a little difficult since its a prime lens (meaning no zooms). So from a 35mm, it immediately became a 70mm focal length, not advisable if you want to take something close up.

(*Note to noobs : this lens is a M-Mount lens for Leica camera bodies ie. M8 and its totally manual focus based.)

Images taken with this set-up (excellent creamy bokeh produced!) :

Special thanks to @segnic13 for generously trusting me with her Leica Summicron lens :)
